The first season of the show will have to follow the plot of the original game. The action takes place in a post-apocalyptic world in which the main character Joel (Pedro Pascal) receives an unusual order – to transfer the girl Ellie (Bella Ramsay) from one end of the country to the other. She is humanity’s last hope for salvation.
According to IMDb, which was leaked in early January, the show will be released on HBO in late 2022. Filming for the series will wrap up this summer.
