Ubisoft completes its series of announcements around its iconic license with Assassin’s Creed Invictus. A game that is definitely not for solo players.
Ubisoft formalizes Assassin’s Creed Invictus multiplayer game
We knew that five Assassin’s Creed games were planned but now a sixth appears: Assassin’s Creed Invictus. This new adventure will be a multiplayer-only title. The app is taken seriously by Ubi because it has been entrusted to veterans of For Honor and Rainbow Six Siege, two multiplayer productions that have clearly found their audience.

A team, which includes For Honor veterans, is currently working to bring multiplayer back to Assassin’s Creed with a standalone experience across Infinity under the codename Project Invictus.
Assassin’s Creed Invictus will therefore be available separately but not really. It will be part of Assassin’s Creed Infinity which will be a hub to connect games and players together. It’s still very vague but we bet that Ubisoft will say more before the release of the next installment in the saga. As for the reason for this new project, the publisher explains that it wants to diversify.
We summarize in the years to come, there will therefore be:
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage in Baghdad
- A trip to Japan via Assassin’s Creed Red
- Assassin’s Creed Hexe, a big different and dark game in Central Europe
- The multiplayer title Assassin’s Creed Invictus freshly formalized
- The Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR experience that will please fans
- A mobile app called Assassin’s Creed Jade which will take place in China
