One of the things that Call of Duty license players appreciate are the camos, or camouflages in French, which they can unlock by completing a few challenges on the battlefield. They are not, in themselves, of much use, but allow you to show other players their level or quite simply their experience in the game, since to unlock them, it can sometimes require some effort from you.
In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, you have four unlockable Mastery camos ( Gold, Platinum, Polyatomic, and Orion ), compared to three in Vanguard, with increasingly difficult challenges. We explain everything to you.
Unlock Weapon Masteries in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
As we told you, these four weapon masteries will allow you to show your superiority in the middle of a fight, since unlocking them is not an easy task. Although the Gold and Platinum seem fairly accessible, if you’re an avid player, the Polyatomic and Orion versions are a bit more complicated and might require a lot of dedication.
How to unlock Gold camo in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?
- Complete all base camouflage challenges for any weapon.
This challenge is the easiest, but will still take you a few hours to play. Each weapon in Modern Warfare 2 comes with eight camos to unlock. Once all the challenges of a weapon have been validated, you will therefore unlock the Gold camo for it, showing your mastery of the weapon.
How to unlock the Platinum skin in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?
- Unlock the Gold camo for each weapon in the weapon category.
We go up a range in difficulty and, above all, in the time required. Here you will need to unlock the Gold camo for all weapons in a category to use a Platinum camo on one of them.
How to unlock the Polyatomic skin in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?
- Unlock the Platinum camo on at least 51 weapons.
In other words, you will have to whip for long hours to pass the basic challenges, but also to obtain the Platinum camouflage, for all categories of weapons. The game is obviously worth the candle and you will also have earned your bragging rights on the battlefield.
How to unlock the Orion skin in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?
- Unlock the Polyatomic camo on at least 51 weapons.
For this last weapon mastery, you will probably have to sweat long hours, since you have to have the Polyatomic camouflage on 51 weapons. But it will get you your hands on one of the most coveted and meaningful weapon skins.
Then, it will be possible to obtain other rewards, with new challenges, in particular by making a certain number of eliminations with a gold/Platinum/Polyatomic or Orion camouflage applied.
You will get, among other things, an Emblem and a business card.
