The Alien universe is probably one of the best known, largely thanks to the movies. Several video games have also emerged in recent years, including the excellent Alien: Isolation, and others that have been less successful, like Aliens: Fireteam Elite. Officially, two new games will complete this collection, with Aliens: Dark Descent, a strategy game, and a solo project called “Aliens”, which remains quite enigmatic.

A third game, or even a fourth, could also benefit from the popularity of this franchise, including a triple A developed by Grasshopper Manufacturer, to whom we owe, for example, the No More Heroes license and Killer7. L’, which explains that the Japanese studio would work on the project, taking inspiration from the gameplay offered by Dead Space and Resident Evil, two horrific and appreciated franchises. Its release is scheduled for the end of 2023, on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.

In the same leak, Tom Henderson reports that a sequel to Alien: Isolation is also in the works at Creative Assembly, which is currently working on an FPS, Hyenas, slated to arrive in 2023 if all goes well. Anyway, the Alien universe will be enriched in the coming months, with potentially four new games, although only two have been confirmed. On the side of the small and big screen, we should also enjoy new things, since Disney has bought the rights to the franchise, and would like to broadcast a series. A new film, at least, should be released.
